Dear Diary,
I've got a secret! I met a new kid in my neighborhood. He told me that at his old school, he used to be a bully! He picked on littler kids because bigger kids were picking on him. He doesn't bully anymore. He's actually very nice. I think we will be friends. He doesn't want anyone to know he used to bully.

Know what I love best about Halloween? Everyone wants to be different. I think differences are cool every day.

I went to a birthday party on Saturday. When we all sang Happy Birthday to my friend, I used sign language. Everybody thought it was cool that I could "sing" with my hands. I taught them how to do it, too.

Dear Diary,
I had a dream last night that Matt was picking on me in gym class. Every time I said "stop it!" or just ignored him, he got smaller and I got bigger. Pretty soon, he was little enough to fit in Pip's pocket. I felt really good when I woke up!

Brad hasn't bullied me for a while. I wonder why? Do you think it's because last time he tried, I called my friends to come help me?

Dear Diary,
I watched a show about tigers last night. It was so cool! I love closed captioning on TV. I learn so much. I think I want to be a wildlife biologist when I grow up.
School is okay. Well, mostly. Brad was really mean to me yesterday. He's always saying things about me behind my back, just because he knows I can't hear him. He thinks he's so funny. I wonder how he would feel if he thought someone was talking about him.

Well, I found out how Brad would feel if he thought someone was talking about him! You know my friend from next door? He's hard of hearing, like me. At lunch today we were laughing and talking in sign language about how bad the meatloaf was. Brad thought we were talking about him! He was really upset. Maybe next time he wants to talk about me behind my back, he'll think twice.
